Trapiche tour

The Trapiche Tour is located approximately four kilometers from Santa Elena, it is a project of a Costa Rican family. In this tour, a tour is made in the farm where you can see the sugar cane plantations, coffee, and other crops such as: bananas, plantains, arracache, oranges and many more. During the tour, the entire coffee process is shown, such as crushing, drying, peeling and roasting; After this process, a typical cart with oxen will guide them to the “Trapiche” where you can see the “saca de guaro” -cane liqueur- and the sugarcane process that begins with grinding and ends until brown sugar is obtained.

During the development of this tour you will have the opportunity to taste the different derivatives of sugar cane and a delicious cup of coffee.
