Overview

Finca La Florita is located in Santa Cruz, Turrialba. This is a very unique farming town in the high lands of one the most important volcanic ranges of Costa Rica. During the visit you are going to learn the entire process of producing sustainable cheese; from the appropriate breeds of cows for milk, required feeding, milking cows, and milk processing for the preparation and of course sampling of this delicious cheese.

Their vehicles were well maintained. The accommodations were comfortable and the staff were helpful and very welcoming. We ate in the dining rooms at each one. The food and atmosphere were wonderful. All served local beef and fish which is what I want when visiting another country. They have a wonderful country. I hope we can visit again.
