Overview
The Cahuita National Park has the largest coral reef system in Costa Rica, including 6 species of coral, a wide variety of colorful tropical fish and the occasional encounter with the reef shark or the manta ray. This beach is shaped like a horseshoe, with the park entrance at one end and the beautiful Punta Cahuita at the other end.
We started with a 20-minute scenic boat ride to have two snorkel sessions. Then we get off at La Punta to enjoy a delicious selection of fruit and snacks on the beach, safe from a guided walk of 3.5 kms and lasting 1.5 hours.
In this wonderful coastal forest: monkeys, sloths, birds, Iguanas and other interesting encounters are common and supplemented with great information from your guide.
