The Rio Pacuare is known as one of the five best rivers in the world for rafting, offering all who visit an experience of adventure and contemplation of nature. Adrenaline enthusiasts will enjoy running class III and IV rapids, at the same time, they will be able to appreciate an abundant tropical rain forest.
We'll start the tour near the Tres Equis community, an hour east of Turrialba. Before entering the river, the guides give an important safety briefing with the necessary commands and safety instructions. After practicing these, the descent of the river begins. Shortly after entering, the excitement turns up a notch when reaching the first rapid, Initiation. It can be easily understood why some of the rapids have been labelled with their specific names, such as the Huacas, Dos Montañas, El Indio and Cimarrones. Halfway through the tour, we'll make a stop. Our guides will prepare lunch while you are resting and enjoying the panoramic views. After lunch, we'll continue the adventure along the river, with new rapids to discover and new environments. The journey ends upon reaching a bridge in the city of Siquirres and then we'll go back to Turrialba.
