 Half Day City Tour

San José

This tour shows you the culture and history of Costa Rica with visits to museums and historical sites in San José. The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful park of La Sabana, which is the lung of San Jose and where the first International Airport of Costa Rica was located. Then, we will take you through the historic National Museum, built in 1897 and considered a masterpiece of art and architecture. Next, we will visit the Jade Museum and de Gold Museum, both with invaluable collections unique in Latin America. The tour continues with stops at various points of interest, such as the University of Costa Rica and the Supreme Court of Justice. We will also visit a craft shop, where you can get beautiful souvenirs to take back home.

Canopy San Jose de la Montaña

This tour takes us on an adventure over the treetops in a high elevation rain forest, this natural area borders two national parks, Braulio Carrillo and Barva Volcano, which serve as a refuge for an abundant population of birds and wildlife. The route consists of 9 platforms located in gigantic oaks at a height of 15 to 35 meters, connected by steel cables. A stairway leads to the first one, from which, once all and even the minimum of safety instructions and procedures have been evacuated, we will begin our journey through the treetops, with distances ranging from 20 to 95 meters between each platform.

Doka

The tour starts with a visit and lunch at Doka Estate, the largest coffee plantation in Costa Rica where you will learn everything about the process related to cultivation, processing and good practices, as well as a natural and cultural experience. Next, where the only metal temple of Central America is located, a national monument that makes its inhabitants proud, as well as a visit to the Central Market, an example of Costa Rican life. Later in Sarchí, a picturesque village, which is the cradle of wood crafting and decorating in Costa Rica, particularly known for its production of colorful ox-carts.

Catamaran Turtle Island

This full day tour to Tortuga Island in the Gulf of Nicoya and one of the most popular tours in San Jose.

Early in the morning you leave to Puntarenas and after a 90-minute bus ride, you will approach your yacht that will take you through the Gulf Islands of Nicoya. In the yacht can enjoy a wide variety of refreshments and tropical fruits to your whim. Once on the island, you can go hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, play beach volleyball or just enjoy the sun and the white sands of such a majestic destiny, taste a delicious buffet served on the beach. Before night fall you will return to San José.

Combo Tour (Doka Coffee Plantation / La Paz Waterfall)

We will visit the Doka Estate Coffee Plantation, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and a tour. The main objective of the Coffee Tour is to educate and inform the local and international population regarding the entire coffee process, where you can learn about the production, harvest, processing plant and grain roasting. 

We will continue our way to the La Paz Waterfall, where an exquisite lunch will be served followed by a tour of the place. Upon arrival we will walk along a beautiful path, which leads to a series of spectacular waterfalls in the middle of the rainforest. On this site, visitors have the unique opportunity to reach and touch the five magnificent waterfalls that flow through the rain and the cloud forest. A series of lookouts built on the cliffs of the green canyon are perfect places to take memorable photos or just sit and feel refreshing dew from the falls. The park has low impact trails through which there is an observatory of butterflies, birds, insects, snake display and colorful garden full of curious hummingbirds among others.

Aerial Tram to the Atlantic

The world of trees has been virtually unexplored and inaccessible until recently. Only one hour away from San José, the Aerial Tram allows people of different ages to enter the top of the forest as easily as taking a funicular. A guided walk through the woods with a naturalist guide introduces you to the rain forest and prepares you for this wonderful experience. Once aboard the funicular, you will float silently through the forest from ground level to the top of the trees. Lunch at the Aerial Tram and return to San José.
