Maquenque Eco Lodge is a rich property ideal for nature lovers, set on 68 acres of tropical rainforest, located within the Maquenque National Wildlife Refuge, and bordered by the San Carlos River. The lodge has 14 bungalows, equipped with ceiling fans, hot water heated by solar panels, private bathrooms, closets, and balconies.
Guests can relax in a balcony hammock while they enjoy a beautiful view of the lagoon right in front of the bungalows or the closeness of the surrounding nature. Trails can enjoyed alone or with the company of local guides and a great variety of flora and fauna, making it a perfect place for bird lovers. Currently, more than 410 species of birds, including the Great Green Macaw (Ara ambiguus) and Scarlet Macaw (Ara Macao) have been identified.
