Max Vindas

Max has over 20 years of experience guiding and leading eco-tourism journeys. He was an avid birder since childhood, and he refined his skills and completed his knowledge during his bachelor’s degree in Management of Natural Resources. 

He can easily identify species of flora and fauna in pretty much any corner of Costa Rica, and he fills his trips with knowledge about natural history and the tropics, sharing anecdotes of his best moments guiding.

This tour guide, teacher, avid birder, and nature lover fills his tours with knowledge, awareness, and passion from beginning to end.

Max Vindas

Isabel Salas

Isa Salas is a Costa Rica born biologist, who is passionate about her country and teaching about it.  Known for her professionalism and experience in the field of animal behavior, Isabel earned her master's degree in biology from the University of Costa Rica, with her projects with howler monkeys’ behavior.

Always eager to share her vast knowledge about tropical nature and local culture, Isa has been an onboard naturalist and expedition leader for small cruise ships since 1996.  She has also led nature-based land programs for affinity groups from leading universities and museums, as well as family programs.

Bryan has been a certified guide since 2012 and a fervent environmentalist since always, which inspired him to study Natural Resource and Wildlife Management.

 He has gained experience as Naturalist Tour Guide working in the biodiverse of the Neotropical Forest in Costa Rica y Panama together with Lindblad Expeditions of National Geographic. Bryan has been running expeditions in most of the ecosystems that the region can offer, from the tropical swamp forest to the highest Paramo peak.  

Among his favorite activities, he enjoys bird watching and raising awareness on the importance of protecting and conserving nature thorough sustainability concepts and connection with the nature where we live, living in harmonization.

All Adventure outdoor activities are welcome, Rafting, rock climbing, zip lining, canyoning, hiking or just a simple walk, fun experiences and respect for nature are highlights in Bryan´s guiding style

Mauricio is an experienced expert tour guide, inspired by his passion for Costa Rica, its people, and its nature. He is an architect by profession and a guide by vocation. His vast knowledge of the history of Costa Rican architecture and its culture, his dedication to host guests in a warm and friendly manner while enjoying nature make him an ideal expert guide.

To keep feeding this knowledge, Mauricio is always reading books, studying the history of the country, discovering new art and architecture. All of this so he can share all of his expertise with his tourists groups.

 Mauricio loves to bike long distances and enjoy the rural landscape.  Driving his bus with a good group of people is always the best opportunity to entertain and transmit his knowledge and passion for our country.

On his free time, he loves traveling and discovering new and exciting places together with his wife. He also loves to grab his equipment and do birdwatching while hiking. On another note, Mauricio loves mixing drinks, play sports, watch a good movie and of course, grab his car and go for a drive.

Gustavo was born on September 18, 1970 in San Jose. He is the youngest of three children and lives with his wife Jenny in San Rafael, Alajuela.

Once he finished high school, he became interested in sciences and languages. Therefore, he enrolled at The University of Costa Rica, where he studied Basic Studies of Biosciences and Modern Languages. During this time Gustavo became fluent in both English and Italian.

He started working as a guide in February of 1992, because he wanted to be closer to nature as well as to the Costa Rican people. 

In the last decade, Gustavo has coordinated environmental study programs for a Texas-based university. His deep knowledge about Eco-Tourism and Costa Rica's nature has given him the opportunity to give talks in different parts of the continent.
