The Monteverde Frog Pond is managed by a group of biologists, naturalists, guides, and conservationist and is much more than a zoo of amphibians, it provides education and the opportunity to learn and change our attitudes about these animals.
The Monteverde Frog Pond has created terrariums where the natural habitat of each species is recreated, allowing the animals to live safely and at the same time enjoy the beautiful colors.
After your guided tour through the terrariums that simulate natural niches you can walk quietly through the display of frog species and their natural history.
In the herpertario*** you can admire more than 28 species of frogs and toads, you can also find many species that are unique to the tropics of Costa Rica such as poisonous frog Blue Jeans and Red Eyed Tree Frog.
This indoor activity and is an excellent opportunity for a rainy day.
