SOME EXTRA TIPS
Located on a lush piece of property along the Tarcoles River and bordering Carara National Park, Villa Lapas is a hotel for nature lovers with nice breezes from the close Pacific Coast and the rich vegetation of the forest. Rooms are spacious with two double beds, cool red-clay tile floors, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and a shady veranda with wooden benches to take in the scenery. The restaurant serves buffet meals in an open-air area with a large deck overlooking the river. The property has a bar and gift shop. A recreation of a typical Costa Rican rural village of the past and a small chapel are great picture taking spots. The property's 217-acre private reserve has excellent trails, a series of suspended bridges crossing the river and its own canopy tour.
