SOME EXTRA TIPS
Buena Vista Lodge is close to Liberia in the golden province of Guanacaste, it borders with the exuberant Rincón de la Vieja National Park at 700 meters (2296 ft.) above sea level.
The lodge was a cattle raising Hacienda that changed part of its activity to develop ecotourism through conservation efforts of the local nature and culture. A small part of the land is still dedicated to cattle breeding and they produce the majority of the products that are consumed at the lodge. The rooms are simple, although well-furnished (no TV or telephones) for relaxation and comfort. The restaurants offer a good selection of local dishes and light snacks, and 2 bars to enjoy marvelous sunsets while savoring a tropical drink. Closeness to Rincon de la Vieja volcano and park facilitates fun and enriching adventures. The thermal pools that come from a spring of the volcano generate mud pots so visitors enjoy mineral mud masks and massages, horseback riding through trails and rivers or simply swaying on a hammock enjoying Costa Rica.
