Digital nomads from the United States, Chile and Portugal highlight the advantages of working from Costa Rica

Costa Rica has become an ideal destination for foreigners who choose to work remotely, and we have digital nomads from Chile, the United States, and Portugal talking about it. They have lived and worked from our country, some for periods of months and in other cases for a year, in places like Manuel Antonio, Santa Teresa, and Monteverde.

The country offers them adequate management of the pandemic and the possibility of combining the work of their countries of residence with surf lessons and trips to the mountains. The pandemic took Viviana, a Portuguese tourist, by surprise in Costa Rican and extended her stay in Santa Teresa as long as her legal residence permit allowed. From there she combined her professional work with surf lessons.

“The beaches are wonderful to surf, the happiness of the people in all the towns is outstanding, the climate is perfect, as well as nature and national parks. Costa Rica is ideal to come to work remotely,” commented Raúl, a Chilean entrepreneur and digital nomad, who since January has taken advantage of his stay to enjoy destinations such as Nosara, Tamarindo, Santa Teresa, and recently Monteverde.

Stephen, Amelia, and Mujesira from the USA also comment on the benefits of working remotely from Costa Rica on YouTube. Currently, a project is being discussed in the local Congress to give special benefits to digital nomads, so that they stay up to a year and a half working from Costa Rica.
