The XVII Annual Guides Course Was Successfully Completed

guide-course-pic01During the 6th, 7th and 8th of October the XVII annual guides course took place, organized in part by “Horizontes Nature Tours” employees with the purpose of gathering, informing and training the professionals who help and guide the tourist that come to our country each day.

Horizontes managing team truly believe in equiping every employee with the tools which will allow them to constantly improve and hence provide excellent customer service. This annual course is part of the many that the company conducts in order to train its employees.

The event was carried out over three days, and apart from the guides, other Horizontes employees provided assistance as well as to learn more about our country and our Panamanian and Nicaraguan neighbors.

Guest speakers Ing. Rodolfo Vanderlaat from the Volcanologist and Seismology Costa Rican Observatory (OVSICORI), Psychologist Milton Rosales and Licentiate Vilma Obando from INBioparque shared their knowledge and answered many questions during their presentations. 

“Nicaragua Volcanoes: Similarities and / or differences with those of Costa Rica ", “History of Nicaragua”, “Touristic Nicaragua”, “The Costa Rican Idiosyncrasy”, “Panamá” and  “Compared biodiversity: Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama” were some of the topics discussed during the course.

guide-course-pic02Mr. Wilfried Aiello, Horizontes General Director, stated that “the course was a complete success and the learning objective for our clients was achieved.

The venue, the interest shown by the guides, the topics that were covered and the overall interaction of these elements gave us an outstanding result which indicated that the message was understood by all who attended.  Mr. Aiello further added that as a consequence of the success of this conference, our future clients will be provided with the same message as well”.
