Central America’s regional flagship airline TACA announced direct flights between Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic this week, providing an alternative route for vacationers looking to avoid Miami International Airport during peak travel times.

The two-hour flight has a 150-passenger capacity aboard an Airbus 320 with a round-trip fare ranging from $200 to $400, depending on travel dates. Currently the flight is offered three times a week, with daily flight scheduled to begin on July 15th.
